4:59 pm – To the 150 block of Uplands Dr. on a report of a domestic dispute. A man called to report that he and his teenage grandson had gotten into a verbal argument, and the teen wanted to go stay with his uncle. Deputies allowed the man to speak privately with his grandson, where it was decided that the teen could go to his uncle’s.
5:30 pm – To Interstate 70 Eastbound for an accident. A driver reported hitting some potholes, which caused the vehicle to spin out of control, and it was hit by another vehicle.
8:56 pm – To the 1700 block of Snyderville Rd.on a report of a stolen pickup truck. The reportee stated he had been working on the truck inside his garage for the past couple of days, and when he got up one morning and looked out the window, he noticed his garage doors open and the truck missing. He said he had likely forgotten to lock the garage.
Wednesday, January 15
8:47 pm – To the 3400 block of Dayton Rd. to meet with a woman in reference to telecommunications harassment. The woman said her ex-boyfriend and his “baby’s mama” were harassing her over the phone. Deputies found the texts to not be directly threatening.
Thursday, January 16
5:18 pm – To the UDF on Dayton Rd. on a report of fuel. An employee said a gold sedan pumped just over $20 in fuel and left without paying for it. The deputy asked why the employee did not make the subject prepay for fuel, but she said it was UDF corporate policy to only implement the prepaid program in bad neighborhoods.
Sunday, January 19
7:23 pm – To the 380 block of Marion Dr. to meet with a man who was concerned about the safety of his children while in the care of their mother, as his son became upset when the man picked up the children from their mother’s house. The man said he and his ex-wife have shared parenting with their three children, and said his son becomes upset at his mother’s house. The man told deputies that the mother’s house has been broken into and destroyed in the past, and that his son complains that he has to take care of his young sister because his mother “sleeps all the time.” Childrens Services was contacted, because the boy said his mother slammed him up against a wall and slapped him in the face. The deputy attempted to make contact with the mother at her home on Marion Dr., and attempted to call her cell phone, but was unsuccessful.
