2:09 pm – To the 6900 block of Emerald Ave. on a report of a burglary. A man reported that an unknown male dressed in all black knocked open the front door of his residence while he was sleeping. The man awoke to the sounds of his door being opened, and saw the man standing at the front door dressed in dark clothing. The man ran away, and the resident found that his back sliding door had been tampered with as well, with the sliding door having been removed.
Monday, January 6
12:34 am – To the 1600 block of Ridegway Dr. for a domestic situation. The caller advised that he and his live-in girlfriend were arguing because the man had found drug paraphernalia in a Victoria’s Secret bag in his basement. His girlfriend became argumentative when he confronted her about finding a syringe, a metal spoon, Q-Tips, and a bottle of cover-up makeup in her bag. She was transported to the hospital after making suicidal threats during the argument. No charges were filed regarding the drug paraphernalia, as the woman said she had no idea how the items ended up inside the bag.
5:50 pm – To Haddix Rd. for an automobile accident. The vehicle lost control and ran off the roadway, striking three mailboxes, one utility pole, and two pole guide wires.
Thursday, January 9
11:30 am – To Green Vista Water Gardens on a crash. A vehicle was pulling into a parking space at the business when it slid on ice and struck an unoccupied parked car, causing minor damage to both vehicles.
1:45 pm – To the 500 block of Old Mill Rd. in reference to a theft from a bank-owned property. The home was broken into, and the surrounding piece of the tub/shower was stolen, along with some PVC piping from the basement.
5:39 pm – To Dayton Rd. on an automobile accident. The vehicle was traveling east on Dayton Rd. when it struck a deer, causing a property damage crash.
